things I love in April.

It's April! 
April second to be exact. 
Isn't that what you come to Naptime Diaries for, to find out what day it is? 
Well, then you might be in the wrong place - cause I rarely know. 
I only know it's April second because yesterday in church I found an old positive pregnancy test in my purse and thought "It's April fools! I'll text a picture of this to my sister and make her think I'm pregnant!"
And I did it! And it was funny. 


Now, I'll state the obvious. 
A. I'm VERY funny. 
B. Who carries a year old positive pregnancy test with them in their purse? Ew, gross. 
C. I'm very mean to my sister who would like to see nothing more than a fourth Connolly kid running around. Sorry, Rubes! April Fools!


Now, back to April! 
Let's start it off right, amen?!
Here are some things that I know will bring joy to your first Monday in April. 
But not as much joy as pranking my sister. 

If I've said it once, I've said it a million times and I'll say it once more. Every mama in this whole world needs a ring or necklace from MelodyJoy1983. I'm going out on a limb, but I mean it. I don't know if I own another piece of jewelry or clothing that means as much to me. Maybe my wedding band. 

If you've ever wondered, "what is the internet good for anyhow?", I'd like to present Moriah from Moriah Makes. Moriah is just a precious mama friend who blogs and I most definitely vote her - "blogger I'd most like to have a playdate with". She loves the Lord, her family, and beautiful things that aren't pretentious. And that's exactly how I'd describe her. 

If I'm giving bloggers superlatives, I'd definitely give Hayley of The Tiny Twig the title, "blogger I most can't wait to see again soon". I'm so thrilled to finally live in the same state as this dynamic woman. I'm thrilled to work on a team with her (more on that later). I'm thrilled to also be on the bloggers-who-just-want-to-leverage-the-internet-to-bless-our-families-and-make-much-of-Jesus with her. Her site makes me want to spend quality time with my kids, wear a cute outfit, and write an ebook. That's right, I said it. 

One of my favorite new Etsy shops is Little Hip Sqeaks that sells precious, precious baby gifts that will make you wish your April Fools Joke had been no joke. Because a chevron and mustache print receiving blanket is about enough to make this mama wrap up my three year old like a baby and make him use a passy again:). If you're not due to have a little on anytime soon, this shop is PERFECT for shower gifts!
